Apple might increase iPhone prices this fall
Apple's iPhones might get pricier this fall.
This is according to a new report from the Wall Street Journal, which cites people familiar with the matter as saying that Apple is "weighing price increases" for its fall iPhone lineup.
The tariff ping-pong that the Trump administration has been playing with China (the two countries agreed on Monday to greatly reduce the recently imposed sky-high tariffs) is certainly partially to blame — and that's despite Apple saying that it moved most of its U.S.-bound production to India. According to the WSJ, Apple is still producing its high-end phones, including the iPhone Pro and Pro Max, in China.
Apple, however, reportedly doesn't want to blame any price increases on tariffs — though it's unclear whether or not the company will justify the higher prices with new features, either.
SEE ALSO: Apple is working on a feature that will make connecting to hotel Wi-Fi easierThere's also no word on just how much pricier Apple's iPhones might be come fall.
Right now, Apple's iPhone 16 starts at $799, while the iPhone 16 Pro starts at $999. The iPhone 17 lineup will reportedly have an entirely new member, a super-thin model presumably called the v, which will likely replace the "Plus" model. Bloomberg's Mark Gurman previously said that this model will start at roughly $899.

Apple is working on a feature that will make connecting to hotel Wi-Fi easier
Hotel Wi-Fi is a hassle. You typically have to connect by filling out a web form with some details (it's extra annoying when email is required), and then you have to repeat that on all the devices you own.
Apple is working to make this process a lot easier, and we might see the results pretty soon.
According to Bloomberg's Mark Gurman (via 9to5Mac), Apple's iOS 19 will come with a feature that will automatically sync public Wi-FI networks across all of your devices. You'll still have to fill out that web form once, but once you do that, you won't have to worry about it anymore, as all your devices will connect automatically.
It's unclear how this would work, or whether it would require hotels and other public Wi-Fi vendors to upgrade their systems in some way, but it sounds like a pretty big upgrade from entering your name and number several times in a row (and if you're traveling with kids, like I often do, the number can go to double digits).
SEE ALSO: Apple is working on a chip for smart glasses, report claimsApple's iOS 19 will likely be announced in June, followed by a launch in September. The new version of Apple's mobile operating system is also rumored to come with a fresh design, improved and expanded Apple Intelligence (including a smarter Siri), an updated Health app, and more.
